Yuenthai Adopts A Mountain Area Through Upland Tree Planting 元泰集團進行青山造林活動

(May 18, 2019) – Luenthai’s unwavering commitment to give eXtraOrdinary CARE to the environment is again demonstrated as YUENTHAI PHILIPPINES continues its reforestation efforts to revive a 2-hectare forest area in Naga City, Cebu last May 11.

Since adopting Sitio Pangilatan, Barangay Inayagan in 2009 as part of the Adopt-A-Mountain Program by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Yuenthai has planted 3,450 trees to rehabilitate the denuded site. The project is part of DENR’s National Greening Program.

The “Upland Tree Planting” activity was led by the Yuenthai Management Team, Yuenthai Employee Credit Cooperative (YEMCCO), and DENR with around 50 employees joining the activity who bravely trekked several kilometers to reach the site. The activity was truly a test of patience, stamina, and will to preserve the mountain as the participants walked uphill to reach the YTPI adopted area. Present also were Executive Vice President Marilet Zuniga and adidas’ Director for Sourcing Gavin Robbins.

Other Go Green activities lined up by YTPI for the year include Mangrove Planting, Coastal Clean-up, Adopt-a-Riverbank Project, and support to the Run for the Oceans.

(2019年5月18日）菲律賓元泰集團於5月11日在宿霧的達納市組織開展植樹活動，恢復了森林面積約兩公畝，再次以實際行動彰顯了聯泰集團堅持不懈非凡關愛環境的承諾。

從2009年開始，菲律賓環境和自然資源部（DENR）將位於Barangay Inayagan的sitio Pangiltan Inayagan作為青山改造項目，元泰已經在這片裸露的荒地上種植樹木3450棵，它們已經成為DENR國家綠化工程的一部分。

在元泰管理團隊的帶領下，來自元泰員工信用合作社團和國家環境資源部大約50名同事一起參加了植樹造林活動。他們勇敢地徒步數公里，行走上坡路抵達元泰負責的改造區域，這一行動，對於參與者的耐心、耐力和意志力，是極大的考驗。參加活動的還有執行副總裁Marilet Zuniga和阿迪達斯採購總監Gavin Robbins。

由菲律賓元泰集團組織的其他綠化活動還包括紅樹林種植、海濱清理、河堤整治、海洋保護長跑等。
