YTI Cebu Volunteers Clean Up Mactan Coast 菲律宾宿雾元泰志愿者为清洁Mactan海岸做贡献

(October 2, 2019) – Employee-volunteers of YTI Cebu participated in the cleanup of Barangay Mactan South last September 21 as part of the city’s annual initiative to clean waterways. This is in observance of International Coastal Cleanup, the world's largest, one-day volunteer effort to protect the marine environment.

Attended by 70 participants from YTI and adidas joined the one-day activity to remove trash along the shores and water bodies of Barangay Mactan South. The activity aims to promote better waste management policies and plans and stir environmental consciousness among people in the area. An estimate of over 500 kilograms were collected and carefully segregated to protect wildlife in the surrounding areas. Mactan Island is home to some of Cebu’s top resorts. It has also recently renewed its push for sustainable tourism.

A short opening ceremony was held at the Mactan Shrine in Lapu-Lapu City which was led by local government unit officials and executives from companies joining the event.

For the past two years, YTI has been keenly participating in environmental activities as it believes in achieving greater economic prosperity with environmental stewardship.

（2019年10月2日）-9月21日，菲律賓宿霧市的元泰國際集團員工志願者參加了Barangay 地區Martan島南部的清潔工作，這是城市年度水道清潔計畫的一部分。同時，它也是所知的國際海岸清潔活動中，全球最大、為期一天的保護海洋環境志願者活動。

70位來自元泰國際和阿迪達斯的員工志願者參加了這個為期一天的活動，共同將Barangay Mactan島南部的海濱和水上的垃圾浮物清走。活動旨在推廣垃圾管理政策，制定更好的環保計畫，激發當地民眾的環保意識。據預測，活動總共收集了大約500多公斤垃圾，並進行了認真的隔離，以保護周邊地區的野生動物。Mactan島是宿務市不少高級度假勝地的所在地，近期，為旅遊業的可持續發展，該島再度興起環境保護行動。

活動開始前，當地政府部門官員在Lapu-Lapu市的Mactan紀念碑組織了一個簡短的啟動儀式，部分企業高管參加了活動。

過去的兩年，元泰國際一直熱心參與環保活動，並相信，環境保護能夠進一步促進經濟的繁榮。
