Verte Celebrates 25th Anniversary

(November 7, 2018) – “We are family. We are eXtraOrdinary. We are ready for the next 25 years.” This is the theme of Verte’s silver anniversary celebration last November 5.

Kick starting the event was a Fun Run by more than 1,000 employees who laced up their running shoes for a friendly race covering 3K and 5K distances. Other employees joined the simultaneous clean-up drive.

Following the two activities was a program attended by employees and beneficiaries of this year’s outreach programs. Top executives delivered messages on the three pillars of sustainability, emphasizing on their importance in Verte’s history and how these will take a more active role in the company’s journey in the next 25 years.

In his speech, Frank Sauceda talked about XO Care for People and assured all of the conscious and genuine effort to constantly improve employee services.

Covering XO Care for the Community, Evelyn Mandani congratulated the employees for raising over USD40,000 (or PHP2 million) in five years for charity through the Donate an Hour program. The Philippine Red Cross also recognized the company with a Diploma of Service for its continued contribution in blood donation drives.

Marilet Zuñiga, focusing on XO Care for the Environment, announced the launch of the “No Plastic” campaign promoting reusable tumblers and banning the use of single use water bottles. She also thanked employees who brought with them their symbolic commitment in reducing their use of plastics.

The celebration was capped by an awarding of winners in the clean-up drive, raffles, and a simple meal shared by all employees.

Verte举办成立25周年庆祝活动

(2018年11月6日） - “我们是一家人。我们要超越平凡。我们准备着迎接下一个25年。“这是Verte成立银周年庆典的主题，活动一直持续到11月5日。

拉开庆祝活动序幕的是由1,000多名员工参加的快乐竞跑，他们分别为三千和五千米的友谊比赛穿上跑鞋。同时，没参加跑步的员工则负责清理工作。

随后的活动，是由今年拓展计划的员工和受益人参与的项目。高层管理人员就可持续发展的三大支柱发表讲话，强调了可持续发展在Verte的历程中的重要性，以及如何让它们在未来的25年发挥更积极的作用。

Verte总裁Frank Sauceda在演讲中谈到了超越非凡的员工关爱计划，保证为不断改善员工服务，付出切实和真诚的努力。

负责超越非凡社区关爱的Evelyn Mandani，祝贺员工通过捐赠一小时计划在五年内筹集超过37,000美元（约200万菲律宾比索）善款。菲律宾红十字会还因公司员工在献血活动中的持续贡献，颁发了证书。

专注于超越非凡环境关爱工作的Marilet Zuñiga，宣布启动“无塑料”活动，推广使用玻璃杯，禁止使用一次性水瓶。她还感谢员工在减少使用塑料制品的工作，这象征着他们在环保方面的承诺。

庆祝活动还包括表彰清理工作中的胜利者、抽奖、以及员工共享简单的餐点。
