GJM’s XO Care Strengthened Through the New XO Kids Charity Program

(December 12, 2018). GJM expanded its commitment to eXtraOrdinary Care (XO Care) by strengthening its involvement to “left-behind” children in Guangdong. Headed by GJM’s Executive Vice President, Peter Leung, he handed-over the team flag of Luenthai-GJM Volunteer Team to kick-off the improved and reinforced “XO Kids Charity Program”.

The program is focused to help 50 “left-behind” children of Xianfeng Primary School by providing an allowance for living expenses. “Left-behind” children are the kids in Guangdong area who live with their relatives and grandparents most of the year while their parents work. The XO Kids Charity Program is built under the XO Care campaign of Luenthai and is in partnership with Tze Chi, a non-government organization which coordinates with government and educational institutions.
The GJM Volunteer Team is set to visit the kids twice a year. Next visit is tentatively scheduled on December 15, 2018.
The program was attended by volunteers, human resources team, and Liu Fai Yan, Tze Chi’s representative for education related charities.

通过新的关爱儿童项目加强“非凡关爱计划
(2018年12月12日) GJM“非凡关怀”广东怀集先锋小学留守儿童项目正式启动。在启动仪式上,GJM高级行政副总裁梁世华先生向捷进志愿者团队授予队旗,进一步加强和推动了儿童关爱计划项目。
这个项目旨在帮助先锋小学50名“留守”学生,向他们提供生活补贴。这些“留守”学生都是广东地区内,因父母外出打工不得不与自己的爷爷奶奶或其他亲戚共同生活的孩子。非凡儿童慈善项目是联泰集团与济慈共同合作开展的非凡关爱活动。济慈是一个与政府和教育机构合作的民间组织。
GJM志愿队计划向这些孩子进行每年两次的探访,下次探访计划在2018年12月15日进行。
