Luenthai employees have begun receiving the COVID-19 vaccines as the government rolls out its inoculation drive against the coronavirus disease.
To date, 149 out of 295 Luenthai expatriate staff have been vaccinated while local employees are also being vaccinated based on the government priority guidelines. Currently, the priority groups to receive the vaccine are government officials and ministers, frontline medical doctors and nurses, armed forces, journalists, and so on. While jabs are ongoing for locals with 10,000 doses per day, vaccinations for foreigners have been temporarily halted since March 8.
Vaccines are offered to all citizens and foreign residents free of charge and on voluntary basis. Sinopharm (China) is administered to people ages 58 and below, while AstraZeneca (UK/India) is given to ages 59 and above.
